Antioxidants and Supplements

Picture
Antioxidants
frankincense (Boswellia)

Pycnogenol (pine bark)
Reservatrol (Red wine, grape juice) Quercetin (citrus peel)

Vitamins/Minerals to consider:
A, B1,6,12, C, D, E, K, Ca, Cr, I, Mg**, Se, Zn.

**Evidence indicates that lack of Mg shortens telomeres, Mg is often under-consumed by Americans and it is necessary in over 300 reactions in the body.

Supplements should be considered because as we age, we eat less but nutrient needs remain.

In my opinion, vitamin and mineral dosages should be customized to that particular person based on testing, symptoms, and the scientific literature.  If a person takes arbitrary doses, they are engaging in an experiment on themselves that may not be benign.
